MAGNUM WORKSHOP DELHI with Magnum photographers Abbas and Raghu RaiMagnum Photos are delighted to announce its first workshop in India, in the vibrant city of Delhi, to be held in collaboration with Raghu Rai Center For Photography and in conjunction with the Delhi Photo Festival in September 2013. The Magnum Workshop will be led by Magnum photographers Abbas and Raghu Rai and held at the India Habitat Centre, the festival hub. Magnum’s workshops are aimed at photographers interested in narrative and storytelling, who are looking to take the next logical step in their photographic development. The workshop environment is intended to be an organic experience and Magnum’s photographer mentors will support participants where best; from sharpening a visual signature or developing editing skills. Each participant will be assigned to either Raghu Rai or Abbas for the duration of the workshop, with informal time available to cross-over. Over 4 days, participants will divide their time between shooting new work, critiquing their photographs with their Magnum mentors and peers and creating an edit to be shown the culminating workshop projection. This projection will form an official part of the Delhi Photo Festival program and will be seen by both industry professionals and members of the public, on 2nd October.
